Sri Balaji Educational Society Established in the year 1991. Is the brain –child of Sri Dr. Palle Raghunath Reddy (Ex- Chief WHIP and Ex- minister for Government of Andhra Pradesh) with the motto of providing better education to all and honing intellectually gifted individuals from all colleges run under the Society . Sri Palle Venkata Krishna Kishore Reddy garu the present chairman of Sri Balaji Educational Society which runs more than 40 educational institutions across the Anantapur District in AP. Sri Krishnadevaraya College of Horticultural Sciences, Anantapuram is one of the noted colleges under SBES . The SKCHS is Affiliated to Dr. Y S R Horticultural University in AP started in the academic year 2016 offering 4 year Honours Degree course in B.Sc Horticulture with a view to cater to the needs of farming community and to impart latest technology in cultivation of Horticultural crops.

B.Sc (Honours) horticulture students are taught all about Horticulture which deals with cultivation of vegetables, Plants, Flowers, Fruits, Landscaping, starting from seed related study to scientific study of plant diseases, Genetics of Plants etc.. Students enrolled in this programme are required to pass through all subjects classified accordingly in Eight semester of Four Years. Total 61 Courses are covered notably among them are breeding & seed production of Horticultural crops, Seed production & certification, Organic farming, Precision farming and protected cultivation post Harvest Management of horticultural Crops, Horti-Business Management, Entrepreneurship Development and International trade ,fundamentals of food technology, communication skills and personality development apart from all courses of departments of horticulture. Hence, students gain good knowledge &training on all the aspects of horticulture .students passed with b.se honours horticulture degree would have completed 180credit hours (140 course hours, 20RHWEP,20_ experimental learning programme). Recently one batch of students who joined in 2016 are passed out with very high grade points. Consequently, immediately after the graduation placement cell in SBES has geared up even during this lockdown period and asked ECOCERT MN certifying agency to conduct an interview. ECOCERT is an multinational certifying agency for organic foods, food production textiles, value added items set upo in 1991. For audit& certification of organic products in France & in more than 130 countries ECOCERT is the world’s leading specialist in certification of sustainable practices in organic foods, food products and value added products.

We have sent the entire list of 2016 batch passed out students (55) to ECOCERT for the short listing at their end. They have short listed 19 candidates at their end and intimated us for arranging virtual Interview on 9th Dec 2020. Others too will be intimated when recruiting firms come forward in future.

KISAN KING AGRO Pvt Ltd (Directors – G. Anjan Kumar and K. Lakshman Narayan) is a private incorporated company which is involved in the manufacturing of pesticides and other chemical products.

Directors and employees of KISAN KING AGRO Pvt Ltd made selection process in 3 phases for all the students of 2017 batch. First stage of selection was based on written exam after which selected candidates were asked to attend for second stage which is a Group Discussion session. After successful completion of this stage, 16 students were shortlisted and promoted to the final stage of selection i.e Personal Interview. In the end 6 students were shortlisted for final selection. Dr. N. Narayana Reddy, Associate Dean, Mr Baba Fakruddin, officer in placement cell provided basic information to the experts of KISAN KING AGRO Pvt Ltd who inturn conducted the interview and prepared the list of qualified candidates.

GDM Landscapes pvt ltd established in 1985. It is a landscape designing firm has emerges from P.V. Madhava Rao & Brothers with a lineage over 150+ years as Nursery men. This firm has been accredited to National Horticulture Board and registered Govt. Contractors for executing Government works. P.V. Badrinath Rao and managing partners of GDM Landscapes pvt ltd conducted a three phase interview for 2018 batch students on 22/1/2022. Virtual interview was conducted for 2016 & 2017 batches of total 21 students and offline mode for 2018 batch of total 16 students. The first step included group discussion and 10 students were shortlisted for next level. Shortlisted students were given a task to design a layout of garden in College premises. At the end personal interview was conducted & 3 students are shortlisted from 2018 & 2017 batches along with 1 student from 2016 batch for final selection.
