Introduction
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the SKCHS serves as the cornerstone for sustaining and enhancing quality in all academic and administrative operations.The IQAC works proactively to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.
Objectives
- To develop and implement quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities.
- To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality horticultural education.
- To encourage the integration of modern technologies in teaching, learning, and research.
- To promote research, consultancy, and extension activities.
- To institutionalize best practices in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and student support systems.
- To coordinate the collection and analysis of feedback from stakeholders for quality enhancement.
Functions of IQAC
- Development and application of quality parameters for academic and administrative activities.
- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
- Organization of workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on quality-related themes.
- Documentation of various programs and activities leading to quality improvement.
- Facilitating internal and external academic audits and analysis for improvement.
Composition of IQAC
The IQAC is constituted under the chairmanship of the Associate Dean and includes senior faculty members,representatives from administration, and external academicians. This diverse composition ensures a balanced and holistic approach to quality enhancement.
