International Women’s Day was celebrated on 08.03.2022 to recognize the contributions of women in different dimensions of human development in the present world. Officer in-charge, Students Activities (OSA) Dr. A. Aravinda briefed about the theme of present year's International Women's Day as “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, which aims to recognize women who are working to build a more sustainable future. The Associate Dean, Dr. N.Narayana Reddy while speaking on the occasion, congratulated all the women staff and girl students as they are considered as building blocks for the developing India not only in the field of Horticulture but all the spheres of development. On this occasion, the Physical Director, Mr.Ramesh, organized different competitions viz., Ball in the bucket, Lemon and spoon, musical chairs, singing and dumb charades for the women staff and as well as students. Prizes were distributed to the first and second winners. Everyone expressed their happiness as they are being recognized equally with men as partners of the future India. They further opinioned to render their services more fruitfully in future and make the college one among the best in SKCHS. All the staff members and students including out-sourced personnel participated and enjoyed the programme.
