Department of Plant Pathology

The Department of Plant Pathology is established in Sri Krishnadeveraya College of Horticultural Sciences, Anathapuramu in 2016 to undertake research and teaching programmes. The department is offering various courses for B.Sc (Hons) Horti. namely., PPBM – 1.10.2 – Introductory Microbiology, PATH-1.7.1 – Fundamentals of Plant Pathology, PATH - 2.7.1 - Diseases of Fruit, Plantation and Aromatic crops, PATH – 3.7.1 – Diseases of Vegetables, Tuber and Spice crops and ELP – 407- Mushroom Culture. The laboratory is fully equipped with different equipments for carrying out practicals and experiments. Students study about the diseases of plants caused by pathogens and their management. Ultimate goal is to prevent and control plant diseases of economic importance. It is helpful for disease free certified seed production.
