The 1st Annual day celebrations of Sri Krishnadevaraya College of Horticultural Sciences was held on Thursday, 7th December at 4.30 PM in the college premises in a befitting manner. It was a week long programme where it has brought out the creative best in the students in various fields of literary, sports, debate and essay writing. Great preparations were made by all our students and staff in this connection. The college was illuminated with buntings and colourful lights. The paths were beautified with flowers to welcome the guests.

In the evening, the programme organized by Dr. K. Purushotham Garu, Associate Dean of SKCHS presided over the function. An exhibition of fruit and vegetable carvings and flower bouquets prepared by the students and opened for public view by Dr. Palle Raghunath Reddy Garu, Chief Whip, Govt. of A.P, Chairman of Balaji Educational Society, Anantapur, who was accompanied by his wife Smt. Uma Garu. The occasion was also graced by Guest of Honour, Dr. A. Sujatha Garu. Dean of Student Affairs, Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem.

The chief guest addressed the students and lauded for their performances in different activities. It included music, dance, recitation, folk songs. Our students performed an one-act play which was heart touching and every student has enjoyed the cultural programmes. Prize distribution was done to all the winners and participants. Different cultural events were arranged. The occasion was a grand success which was ended with vote of thanks. It was a memorable evening which revealed the various facets of Horticulture.
